Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who first inhabited the territory on which the Kumba Fostering Head Office is located, and where our business operate today in Ontario. As settlers, we are grateful for the opportunity to meet here and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of the land and for those who continue today.

We also acknowledge that First Nations, Inuit and Métis families have been particularly harmed by the actions of child welfare and commit to supporting Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination over child and family services. We commit to our responsibility to the ongoing action to change our practice and support improved outcomes for Indigenous communities.
